Ingredients
  

  • 2 large Portabella mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup fresh mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Garlic chili flakes, balsamic glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Remove the stems from the Portabella mushrooms and gently scrape out the gills.
  3. Place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet, brush them with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread a spoonful of tomato sauce onto each mushroom cap.
  5. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and a few basil leaves.
  6. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with additional fresh basil.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
