- Clean mushrooms and remove stems if needed. Slice large mushrooms into thick slices.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and water. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Place mushrooms in the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Place marinated mushrooms on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until tender and slightly charred.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh cilantro if desired.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dish.
