Ingredients
Method
- Prep the Mushrooms: Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth, removing any dirt. Pat them completely dry to ensure the coating sticks.
- Set Up Coating Stations: Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the Mushrooms: Roll each mushroom in the flour, dip in the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to adhere the breadcrumbs.
- Fry the Mushrooms: Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 180°C (350°F). Fry mushrooms in small batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on a paper towel.
- Prepare Spicy Ketchup: Mix ketchup, sriracha, honey, and smoked paprika in a bowl. Adjust spice levels to your liking.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve the fried mushrooms hot with spicy ketchup on the side.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, air-fry the mushrooms at 200°C (390°F) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
